Successful retrofit at Mondi Frantschach to increase performance on the PM6 winder

Jagenberg Paper has received an order from Mondi Frantschach GmbH for a rider roll rebuild and associated performance increase of the RSM 6.

In an audit carried out in advance by specialists from Jagenberg Paper GmbH, several modernization steps were worked out to increase production on the winder.

The subsequent order to implement the optimization measures included not only the delivery of a new rider roll and synchronizing shaft, as well as vertical guides, but also the replacement of various hydraulic components.

Furthermore, an adaptation of the machine control system as well as disassembly, assembly and commissioning were part of the scope of supply.
The objectives of the rebuild were to increase the speed (also for difficult paper grades), reduce vibrations, and improve the roundness of the paper rolls.

These goals were achieved in full and to Mondi's complete satisfaction. Furthermore, the cooperation on this order is rated as very positive by all parties involved.

Mondi Frantschach: „The cooperation with the company Jagenberg was very good in terms of project development, project processing and project implementation. Thank you!“
