Smurfit Kappa Piteå / Sweden, placed this order with Jagenberg Paper GmbH to renew the rider roll in its Wärtsilä winder (model year 1981) as part of a major modernisation project. A precise measurement on-site was accomplished by experienced JP technologists and taken as basis for the design and development of a customized, state-of-the-art rider roll with the same functionality but improved vibration level. After the successful engineering and implementation of the new rider roll the JP technologists defined new winding curves with the operators to provide ideal conditions for maximum production performance of this winder.
